ProFab launches 39m yacht The Beast

New Zealand shipyard ProFab Engineering has launched its 39.5-metre (129-foot) yacht The Beast, one of the country’s largest boats to date, at the Manawatū Marine Boating Club in Foxton.

The expedition yacht will undergo sea trials ahead of being delivered to her new owner Michael Hill, founder of Michael Hill Jeweller, later this month.

Featuring naval architecture and exterior design by LOMOcean, the tri-deck catamaran will be able to accommodate up to 12 guests, along with 10 crew members.

The all-aluminium yacht will also present extended range for remote cruising and a 9.3-metre amphibious tender, as well as having capabilities to hold a 13-metre fully-equipped game fishing boat.

The yacht’s owner will work in partnership with Oceania Interiors to create the interior styling of The Beast.

A 12-metre beam will provide guests with vast amounts of space, with an interior volume totalling at 493GT. The Beast will be powered by two Caterpillar C32 engines offering an impressive cruising range.
