Refit works underway on superyacht Cloud Atlas ahead of 2020 charters

The 46-metre (150-foot) superyacht Cloud Atlas is undergoing a complete refit of its main deck, upper deck and lower deck areas ahead of the Mediterranean charter season.

A luxury superyacht accommodating 12 guests and nine crew, Cloud Atlas has a top speed of 18 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots. She was initially built in 1990 and underwent a significant refit in 2016: She was fitted with an extended hull and a new garage for water toys alongside a swimming platform that doubles up as a beach club. Engines and generators were also rebuilt so she could run more smoothly.

This new refit will see a complete décor redesign into a minimalistic style to suit her timeless shape.

On the main deck, the refit will manifest into two elegant guest suites, which includes marble bathrooms and an office area. The suites also include a foldaway Pullman berth for the comfort of extra guests. An additional cabin will be available for children and nannies.

The main salon will be furnished with three large sofas, a bar zone with a gaming table and the dining area for 12 vacationers.

A skylounge will be located on the upper deck, and separated with a vast sliding door that clearly defines both the dining area and the gathering area – which will be equipped with a 60-inch TV screen. Guests will also be able use an air-conditioned panoramic gym in a new zone within the skylounge area.

A spacious sundeck enables holidaymakers to relax in the sizable Jacuzzi, with panoramic views of surrounding sceneries. An al-fresco lounge is located in an ample solarium, alongside sun loungers and an outdoor bar.

The new and improved Cloud Atlas will be available for charter from Flying Charter in the summer, to cruise areas including the Amalfi Coast, French Riviera and the Balearics.
