Rosetti discloses first superyacht sale

Italian yard Rosetti Superyachts has signed a contract to build a 38-metre (125-foot) steel-hulled explorer for a European client – its first ever superyacht sale.

Designed by Hydro Tec, the yacht will be built at the San Vitale shipyard in Ravenna, Italy. Delivery is due to be fulfilled within 24 months of the commencement of construction.

Rosetti stated that more details about its new build would be released in the new year.

Based on the Adriatic coast at the San Vitale shipyard, Rosetti Marino Group has access to a 160-metre dry dock and 4,000 square metres of mechanical workshops, including several assembly halls with overhead cranes capable of lifting in excess of 90 tonnes.

It also has the facilities to construct supply vessels and superyachts measuring from 35 to 140 metres.

As it stands, other designs on Rosetti’s drawing board include a 48- and 85-metre (157- and 279-foot) Tommaso Spadolini-designed support vessel, and a 52-metre (170-foot) supply vessel, which was unveiled at Monaco Yacht Show in September.
