Russ Erickson acquires Interior Technology Services

Interior Technology Services (ITS) of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, has been acquired by Russ Erickson, CEO of R&J Marine Technologies, who hopes to expand on the firm’s operations. 

The Ft Lauderdale, Florida-based cleaning service that specialises in yacht carpeting and interior fabrics is looking to add an office in Palm Beach County to accommodate yachts at the nearby Rybovich and Derecktor Ft Pierce shipyards. 

New owner, Russ Erickson, recently told The Triton that the company’s 34-year reputation for professional service on some of the world’s largest yachts led to the purchase decision.

“Ninety-nine percent of what I bought is the goodwill of this company, not just the equipment or collateral,” he said. “I’m not going to do anything to jeopardise that.”

Erickson had a life-long career in boat manufacturing with various entities, including Sterling Power Boats and Edgewater Boats, and came out of retirement to take on ITS. He said the entire crew will be staying on, with equipment, vehicles, and all other company assets being upgraded or replaced. New crew have also been taken on to ensure projects of all sizes can be handled.
