Sailing yacht MM33 hull arrives at Vitters Shipyard

Vitters Shipyard has announced the safe arrival of the hull of 33m sailing yacht MM33, later than her expected, past her June delivery date.

Due for completion in July 2016, performance cruising sloop MM33 has been designed by naval architect and exterior stylist, Malcolm McKeon Yacht Design. Her lightweight hull is made of carbon fibre composite, built by Green Marine, a design combination responsible for such predecessors as Ghost, Cinderella, Sarissa and Inoui.

According to Vitters, the team will dedicate a great deal of attention to noise and vibration control, while keeping a ‘good eye’ on weight goals. MM33’s sail handling and control will be state-of-the-art, and her lifting keel, with a stroke between 5 and 3.75-metres, will enable increased upwind performance and access to shallow waters and anchorages.    

The clients’ brief called for a comfortable and well performing, go-anywhere sailing yacht. Her interior design, taken on by Design Unlimited, will feature light coloured wood with a feeling of superyacht luxury. Design Unlimited has previously worked on sailing yachts such as, Escapade, Leopard 3 and Bliss.
