Sanlorenzo 64 Steel arrives at La Spezia yard

The Italian yacht builder Sanlorenzo has released the first images of its in-build flagship yacht, the Sanlorenzo 64 Steel. It’s due for completion in 2019 after being sold in July 2016.

In the images released by the yard, you can see the steel hull and aluminium superstructure have arrived at the yard’s facility in La Spezia for joining later in the week.

Officina Italiana Design managed the exterior design of the yacht, creating an elegant exterior with clean lines. Known features so far include a large seating area adjacent to a helipad on the foredeck, and a large swimming pool on the aft deck.

Though an interior designer has not been revealed yet, and the number of cabins and other details are yet to be confirmed, Sanlorenzo has promised ‘innovative interiors’ for up to 12 guests on the 64 Steel.

The new flagship yacht will be fitted with twin 2,375hp CAT 3516C engines to achieve its estimated top speed of 17 knots.

Other projects currently under construction at Sanlorenzo’s La Spezia facility include the second hull in the 52 Steel series, which is due to be completed by the end of the year.
