The exciting first glimpse – shared on Instagram – features dramatic drone footage of the series’ inaugural hull as it was being transported to a new area of the La Spezia facility. There are three hulls currently under construction at La Spezia, with the first 43.9-metre (144-foot) superyacht slated for delivery in 2019.
The 44Alloy has not yet been detailed, but these preliminary images hint at a bright and airy interior thanks to expansive glazing and a wide range of rectangular portholes. The model’s interior volume is understood to be approximately 440GT – an impressive increase from the 40Alloy’s 338GT – and Sanlorenzo has noted a beam of 8.9 metres and a draught of 2.3 metres.
The 44Alloy will boast a top speed of 23 knots, as well as a cruising speed of 21 knots, thanks to a twin-screw MTU drivetrain. Accommodation capacity, tender storage and other key details are yet to be revealed.
Sanlorenzo has also confirmed it will be adding a new model to its range of aluminium yachts in 2020.

Other projects at Sanlorenzo’s La Spezia yard include a 64Steel, due to be launched in 2019, as well as the company’s new flagship superyacht.
