Snappy Tags expands business to new customers in the yachting market

Online clothes labelling supplier, Snappy Tags, is reaching new customers in the yachting industry after a successful launch of its product in key introductory markets.

The clothing tags allow clothes to be securely tagged with button-like, laser-etched tags displaying a name, room number, location name, or any other text. They are applied to clothing using a handheld applicator that resembles the appearance and size of a typical office stapler, which also doubles as a tag remover, allowing them to be reused.

The primary markets for Snappy Tags have been with parents labelling children’s school uniforms, and care homes labelling residents’ clothing. Having enjoyed success in these sectors, the firm is looking to expand and has identified the yachting industry as a new potential market.

Liz Waites, manager at Snappy Tags, said, “Our traditional business is very seasonal, centering primarily in the British summer months with the run up to the new school year in September, when parents are buying new school uniforms for their children.  We knew there was an opportunity to expand on our traditional markets, as Snappy Tags are so versatile.”

Yachts, especially those that are regularly chartered, often have large laundry loads of crew uniforms and linens every day. Snappy Tags saw potential in the market, and has received orders and positive feedback from enthusiastic stewards and stewardesses.

Liz continued, “We’ve had some fantastic feedback from the chief stewards and stewardesses who use Snappy Tags.  As a small company, we pride ourselves on excellent customer service and meticulous quality control in our in-house laser-etching facility.  We frequently get repeat business from chief stews who have used Snappy Tags on board a previous yacht, and want the tags again when they move on to another. The Snappy Tags team are very excited to see what further opportunities the yachting industry can bring to our business!”

Snappy Tags also offers international delivery to coincide with a yacht’s timetable and itinerary.
