Italian marina and shipyard Sudcantieri has announced that it has met safety requirements to open its 250 berths for yachts and superyachts.
Located in Campania, the luxury marina is situated just in front of the famous islands of Capri, Ischia and Procida and can now welcome vessels after complying with all health and safety measures set out by the authorities.
Due to the harbour’s geographical characteristics, social distancing is made a lot easier, with large paths, wide parking areas, gardens and bed flowers. Sudcantieri has been organising its facilities and procedures to meet the highest standards: appointments and refuelling are timetabled to avoid long waiting times and there’s a 24-hour guarding service.
In a release, Sudcantieri said, “Yachting is itself a natural way to apply social distancing [which is] so hard to achieve on a crowded beach or in a bustling city. In a country where yachting has always had a main role in the economic and employment income, recovery is compulsory. The input is to restart and Sudcantieri does it perfectly.”
