40m Sunseeker M/Y Take 5 delivered to American client

Authorised Sunseeker dealers for America, Rick Obey & Associates, has announced the delivery of 40-metre Sunseeker 131, M/Y Take 5 to an American client – the second unit in the British yacht builder’s new generation range of 40m superyachts. 

Built for a repeat client of Rick Obey & Associates, Take 5 is the second Sunseeker of the same name for the client, replacing his 34m in favour of something with a little more space.

The build of the yacht was overseen by the brokerage house, whose teams made several trips between the U.S and the Sunseeker facility in Poole, England during the 18-month period.

Take 5 was shipped across the Atlantic earlier this year, arriving in Palm Beach, Florida before setting off on her maiden voyage to the Bahamas with the owner on board.

She debuted to the American market at the 2016 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) last month, where she showed off a new blue hull wrap to match that of the owner’s previous 34m Sunseeker. 

The 40m motor yacht is equipped with two MTU 12V 4000 M93 engines, allowing her to reach a top speed of 25 knots. She can achieve a range of 1,500nm at 10 knots.
