In the realm of maritime luxury, the quest to offer yacht charter guests the perfect night's sleep has become an art form, one which luxury bed and linen supplier, CC Design, has fully committed to.
From transporting luxury yachts and private jets to cargo and horses; Irina Kryuchkova, owner of shipping and freight forwarding company, Trans Net, shares details about its developments and what makes them different from their competitors.
How did Trans Net begin and how has it developed over the years?
Trans Net was founded in May 2002. In 2004 we got the first order for aviation spare parts. Since then we’ve become a logistics provider for cargo in heavy lift, oilfield, aviation and military industries and we won the first industrial project two years later in 2006. In 2007 we shipped a superyacht for the first time, which marked the start of our initiation into the transportation of luxury goods. Last year we began working as a broker for our clients; buying and selling luxury items and delivering them directly to their doorsteps.
In your own words how would you describe your business?
Trans Net was originally established to operate in the freight forwarding and logistics markets only. However, as mentioned, over the years Trans Net became more than just a cargo company, nowadays, we equally focus on three key areas: project cargo, logistics of luxury items (yachts, horses, private jets etc...) and luxury brokerage.
The transportation of luxury items is now at the core of our brokerage business, where we buy or sell luxury goods on behalf of our clients.
What makes you different from your competitors?
Our formula of success is the consolidation of all of our services to be a single source logistics provider with excellent customer service and punctual delivery. It helps us to stand out from our competitors.
Is there anything that you would like to announce?
We specialise in the transportation of classic and collection cars, some of them are really old, made in the 1930s. They require special care during transportation and Trans Net is very capable of such bespoke transportation requests.
Who is your key target audience?
We ship big toys for big boys!
What are your top tips in your industry?
It is simple: to be professional in logistics and provide excellent customer service. Also know your type of yachts and boats for shipping and transportation.
What is the most bizarre client request you’ve received?
The most bizarre request we’ve ever received was the transportation of a superyacht by air by the world’s biggest freighter – Antonov AN-225 Mriya.
What clients have you worked with that you can share?
We have worked for Royal families from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
Who would be your dream client?
That would probably be a celebrity who would need transportation of his/her superyacht or private jet and accompanied items.
