The Galapagos Islands are set to welcome visitors again from 1st July 2020, following recent border closure due to the coronavirus pandemic. With the objective of guaranteeing the health of its inhabitants and visitors, and ensuring a quality visit to the Galapagos, the state has announced some new protocols for entering the islands.
Ricardo Arenas, CEO of Superyacht Galapagos, commented, “Yachts and sailing yachts that will visit and transit through the Galapagos are welcome. At their arrival they must present PCR tests with negative results for COVID-19 and adjust to international bio sanitary policies: social distancing, use of masks while in populated areas and hand washing.”
Yacht agency Superyacht Galapagos has been busy preparing for visitors after months of lockdown.
Arenas added, “From July 2020, the Galapagos Islands are ready to receive you, so you can have the opportunity to observe and enjoy its resting nature.
“Yachts’ and sailing yachts’ compliance of these protocols are precisely to guarantee their own visit.
“We would like you to know that you are welcome in the Galapagos Islands and we are looking forward to having you here and serving you in the best way possible.”
