Leading marine insurance company Superyacht Insurance Group (SYIG) has recently announced their new branding and company name. Formerly known as Crew Insurance Services, SYIG has also now expanded their product portfolio to include yacht insurance service (hull, P & I) and crew medical insurance.
Maria Karlsson, president and founder of Superyacht Insurance Group stated, “The company name has been updated to incorporate the offerings of yacht policies”.
As well as the rebranding, SYIG has also announced the appointment of Captain Stephen Rodda as its European PR consultant and technical support person. Maria continued, “With more than 30 years’ experience running ferries and ships worldwide, where of 20 years spent running yachts and building a total of 4 mega yachts, Captain Stephen has added tremendous value and expertise in the area of yachting”.
SYIG also has a brand new office located directly off the Middle River in Fort Lauderdale, meaning the office is located next to the many yachts and superyachts that are on the docks. The new office address is 840 NE 20th Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, Florida. When talking about the relaxed feel of the office new office Maria, stated, “I enjoy visiting the yachts, talking to the captain and crew and assist them with the insurance, that’s the fun part of my job.”
