Spearheaded by film and TV producer Christian Moore (son of the late Sir Roger Moore), alongside yachting professional Patrick Coote and SSI-Monaco (Space Systems International), Superyacht TV focuses on six key areas in the yachting lifestyle: The Yachts, Places To Go, Life Onboard, Yacht Events, Tenders & Toys and The Creators. It streams 24/7 and is free to view for a global audience.
In a feature in Tatler, Moore described the channel as a “visual representation of yachting that hasn’t existed before… we are aiming to give a broad scope and as much visibility as possible to the industry.
“It’s a big undertaking to establish a channel where there hasn’t been a lot of content created. But building content is one of the things I enjoy most,” added Moore.
After soft launching in January, the Monaco-based channel has gone on to reach 30,000,000 households in Monaco, North Africa and the Middle East via satellite and online services, including MonacoSat, Monaco Telecom and Yahlive. In the process, it has seen support from the likes of LYBRA, MYBA and Cluster Yachting Monaco.
As Superyacht TV grows – and it has reportedly confirmed plans for a rapid expansion into wider European and British markets in 2019 – it is estimated to have a possible reach of 1.7 billion.
