Superyacht UK Young Design Competition announced for 2015

Promoting British design and careers within the UK superyacht industry, the inaugural SYUK Young Design Competition is due to take place at the 61st CWM FX London Boat Show at ExCeL London on 14^th and 15^th January 2015.

The competition, hosted in association with BAR (Ben Ainslie Racing), will be undertaken by eight third year design students who will draw freehand throughout the show to a brief which has been compiled by the judging panel of superyacht industry leaders; Design Unlimited, Burgess, Claydon Reeves and Philippe Briand.

The students will be working in the Platinum Suite in the main boulevard of ExCeL all day on Wednesday 14^th January until midday of the following day when the judges will start the review process. The winner of the SYUK Young Design Competition will then be announced during the SYUK Technical Seminar on Thursday 15^th January.

The winning student will be awarded a summer internship at Pendennis Yachts, one of the UK’s leading shipyards.
