Karpaz Gate Marina has announced that it has successfully completed its latest boat-yard project, undertaking maintenance work on the 43m luxury sailing yacht Daima to prepare her for the upcoming season.
The custom-built 43m superyacht, S/Y Daima - the first yacht to be produced by Arkin Pruva Argos Yachts in Antalyna Free Port, Turkey - underwent haul-out and maintenance services at the facility. Marking what the marina brands as its “most notable project this year”, the marina shared a video of the work carried out on the custom-built superyacht.
Erbil Arkin, chairman of the Arkin Group commented, “The size and capacity of the Karpaz Gate Marina Boat Yard facility and the quality of the equipment is very impressive, particularly the 300-ton capacity travel hoist.”
Managed by the Sea-Alliance Group, the boat yard features an 18,000-square metre dry dock, 300-ton capacity travel hoist and service pedestals for the refit, repair and maintenance of boats, yachts and superyachts in Northern Cyprus.
According to the Five Gold Anchor-rated marina, an increasing number of yachts and superyachts are using the dry-dock facilities for pre-season preparations, as well as more extensive technical and specialist work.
Karpaz Gate branded S/Y Daima as a motor sailor that “blends the comfort of a classical Turkish gulet with a modern hull and superstructure.”
Arkin continued, “The boat was hauled out on schedule in an efficient and attentive manner, the launch back went extremely smoothly and the boat was soon back in the water and ready for the summer. We had complete trust in the experienced and accommodating Karpaz Gate Marina staff and in the security and safety of the boat yard and the whole marina.”
