In the realm of maritime luxury, the quest to offer yacht charter guests the perfect night's sleep has become an art form, one which luxury bed and linen supplier, CC Design, has fully committed to.
Tankoa Yachts has announced the sale of its second 50-metre (164-foot) model to a European owner, with Giancarlo Mussino of Sanos S.A. overseeing the sale.
Announced at the 2017 Monaco Yacht Show and currently under construction in Genova for delivery in May 2019, S502 Elettra is the sistership to Tankoa’s previous 50-metre Vertige. She also showcases exterior design by Francesco Paszowski and interiors by Margherita Casprini, offering the same “ balanced and timeless style” with a layout designed for “optimal circulation”.
As such, owners and guests are afforded complete privacy on board, and can move from deck to deck without interruption by the crew who have their own dedicated pathways for servicing the yacht.
Elettra’s main innovation is, however, in her hybrid-propulsion system, which offers four different operation modes. In Diesel-Electric Mode, Elettra uses two electric motors to power two variable-speed generators for a speed of 10.5 knots and a range of 4,900nm, while in Traditional Mode, she can achieve speeds of 17 knots using both diesel engines and a diesel generator for on-board services.
At top speed, Elettra is able to achieve speeds of 18 knots at half load.
As far as her amenities go, Elettra is equipped with a gym and beach club on her lower deck, where her guest accommodation is also located, made up of three VIP cabins with king-size beds and two guest cabins with twin berths. The crew quarters and service areas are also set here on the lower deck.
On the main deck, the cockpit comes with an oversized sunbed, reverse U-shaped sofa, coffee tables and bar. Also here is a spacious saloon, galley, dining room and large master suite with office and day lounge, equipped with fold-down balconies on both sides.
The upper deck has been reserved for spacious outdoor areas for guest relaxation, with a dining table and access to a comfortable sky lounge. The foredeck includes a solarium and open-air lounge, all designed to offer guests maximum privacy.
The fly deck finalises the yacht’s outdoor areas with a Jacuzzi, bar, sofas, sunbeds and up-and-down tables.
