Technicold’s Vertical Compact air handlers offer versatile installation

Technicold by Northern Lights, an industry leader in marine climate control systems, has introduced a new line of Vertical Compact air handlers to offer additional installation options.

Vertical Compact air handlers have a reduced width of over 60% compared to similar units. The blower is placed above the fully rated capacity coils and rotates to ensure easy, versatile installation.

Vertical Compact air handlers can be easily configured for any Technicold system, with available options from 8,000 to 18,000 BTU.  The vertical architecture allows it to be installed in smaller footprints, opening up the design of the HVAC system; it can fit in small berths and tight spaces between cabins.

Constructed with a 16-gauge 316L grade stainless steel shroud and fully insulated stainless steel plenum, its makers say that Vertical Compact is built to last. Two-inch deep pans contain condensate keeping any place equipped with Vertical Compact air handlers clean and dry.  Custom water valves and high-velocity rotatable blowers offer further versatility for installation.

Chip Van Gunten, sales manager of Technicold said, “We are committed to providing clean air for the complete comfort of our customers.  Providing world-class systems in a package that can be custom fitted to almost any on-board space is just one of the ways we ensure peace of mind of the yachting experience.”

Heat strips and UV lamps are among the options to further customise Vertical Compact air handlers.
