Tecnoyachts participates in French Riviera charity events

Tecnoyachts, a leading yacht supply company on the Cote d’Azur, recently participated in two established charity events on the Riviera: Cogs4Cancer and Les Yachts du Coeur.

For the annual Cogs4Cancer fund-raising cycle ride (this year from Barcelona, Spain to Antibes, France), Alain Minault of Tecnoyachts took part in one of the final stages, riding 82km from Les Marines de Cogolin near St Tropez, to the finish line on Friday 9th October at the IYCA quay in the port of Antibes.

Caroline Evans of Tecnoyachts commented, “82km might not sound like much of a challenge for this super-fit colleague who regularly runs and plays football, but he was actually on holiday from work at the time – a ‘holiday’ of course spent running in the Atlas Mountains in Morocco!

“Not content with just the one charity event in October, Alain, myself and the company’s Philippe Gilio have been busy collecting unwanted non-perishable food items from our many yacht clients to donate to Les Yachts du Coeur, a local homeless charity.”

In Port Pierre Canto in Cannes on Saturday 10th October 2015, Philippe and Alain handed over their haul as part of a human chain from the yachts to the quayside, in the presence of the Mayor of Cannes, M David Lisnard, who can be seen in one of the above photos handling a Tecnoyachts carton.
