The International SeaKeepers Society, a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to the preservation and protection of the world’s oceans, has announced Agnès Troublé as the recipient of the 2012 SeaKeepers Award.
The event is being held at the Rooftop Terrace, Fairmont Hotel, Monte Carlo, Monaco on Thursday 20th September 2012 at 7:30pm EDT (-04:00).
Agnès Troublé, known as agnès b, is joining a list of other remarkable female recipients, honoured for their work in protecting the world’s oceans including Marjory Stoneman Douglas and Dr. Sylvia Earle.
The award is given annually to an individual who has demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to marine conservation.
Patty Elkus, chairman of the Host Committee and International SeaKeepers Board Member said, “Agnès is a perfect example and role model to represent this year’s Women in Yachting/Women in Ocean Advocacy theme and celebration."
The ceremony comprises many recognisable and familiar names from environmental organisations, philanthropies and the superyacht industry and community. All are deeply motivated to protect and preserve the world’s oceans.
