New Engine Room Logbook Designed for Yachts

Seeing a flaw in traditionally available engine room logbooks for use on yachts, a young engineer has published his solution. An engine room logbook designed specifically for superyachts.

Dave Hammond, Second Engineer on M/Y Utopia commented in an interview with The Triton that commercial logbooks “…really don’t work for superyachts.  We’re always crossing things out and adding our own columns.”

The functionally designed book only includes relevant information for superyachts removing the need to adapt and add columns.  The yacht specific book helps engineers to keep track of maintenance, operations and parts.

With pages for engineers to keep track of specific pieces of machinery, their maintenance and spare parts the log fulfils the requirements of any superyacht.
