True East Charters luxury yacht charter service launches in the Hamptons

A luxury yacht charter service, named True East Charters, has launched to fill the need for day charters and customised water activities in the Hamptons, New York. The brainchild of Jessica Cohen, a luxury real estate broker from Manhattan, the new business will offer visitors an escape from the traffic and heat of the Hamptons coastline. 

Partnering with her Michael Tierney, a local captain with 15 years of experience in skippering superyachts in the area, the business idea was born when Cohen couldn’t find a boat rental service while summering in the area.

The True East Charters fleet will come equipped with luxury amenities such as outdoor dining facilities, grills, staterooms, salons with satellite televisions, Wi-Fi, three-zone sound systems, central air conditioning, heat and showers, and includes the brand new Azimut Atlantis 12.5-metre outboard yacht.

The venture will offer half and full-day charter trips with departures from Hamptons Bay, Southampton and Sag Harbor. Day trips in the Hamptons can accommodate travel to and from Westhampton, Montauk, North Fork, Block Island and Essex, Connecticut. Overnight trips are also available upon request with itineraries to Newport, Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket.

The service will offer private chauffeurs for pick-up and drop-off within a two-hour drive from dock locations and pet-friendly options will be available. On-board and water activities range from restaurant hopping, ‘floating’ drive-in movies, wine tastings, paddleboard yoga and bespoke catered events.
