UAE-based Gulf Craft builds on global success at Sydney International Boat Show

Gulf Craft is participating in the 2015 Sydney International Boat Show (SIBS), demonstrating the UAE-based shipbuilder’s global reach and commitment to serving the evolving boating needs of the Australian market.

The show, which is the largest recreational marine event in the southern hemisphere, kicked off on Thursday 30th July, and will run until Monday 3rd August across two locations at Cockle Bay Marina in Darling Harbour and the Sydney Exhibition Centre at Glebe Island.

Erwin Bamps, CEO of Gulf Craft commented, “Over the last 20 years we have helped meet the diverse boating requirements in Australia through our wide range of crafts, including our Silvercraft fishing boats and family cruisers, Oryx Sport Yachts and Cruisers, and our flagship brand, Majesty Yachts. However, we are also noticing a steadily growing market for superyachts.

“We believe yachting enthusiasts in Australia are avid boaters at heart who appreciate a well-built product and are looking for great underlying value, and this is exactly what we offer.  This increased interest in yachting stretches beyond Australian borders and into the Southeast Asia and the South Pacific regions.

“People are beginning to realise that yachting is so much more than an ostentatious display of wealth – it is an experience, a lifestyle. In addition, there is increasingly more leisure time available globally, giving people an opportunity to experience the splendor of on-water living.”

Captain Richard Morris of Australian Superyachts, Gulf Craft’s exclusive distributor in Australia added, “Semi-custom capability, quality and value for money are key factors that prospective customers in Australia look for in a superyacht acquisition.

“Increasingly, our clients are requiring their yachts to be personalised and to meet world-class standards that would enable them to cruise in Australian waters, thereby delivering an enhanced resale value as well as the possibility to widen their operation to charter use.

“As an exclusive distributor of Majesty Yachts in Australia, the brand’s point of difference is that their yachts are not only fine examples of quality craftsmanship and design, but also meet the rigid safety and construction standards required by any international classification for commercial charter operations, hence increasing the entertainment and safety features aboard their yachts for the owner’s family, friends and business associates.”

Attendees of the Sydney International Boat Show can visit Gulf Craft at stand number 139 at the Cockle Marina Bay.
