Unlimited Marine Services Inc will be installing their T-SAT technology onto M/Y Island Heiress

Unlimited Marine Services Inc (UMSI) has announced it will be installing their in-house Touch-Screen Automation Technology (T-SAT) onto M/Y Island Heiress in the next couple of weeks.

In addition to T-SAT UMSI is installing a complete navigation package through the vessel. UMSI will be the first to integrate the new KVH media system on a yacht with 12 separate viewing areas. The entire system is powered by Crestron Backbone, via a 32x32 DM switch and 8x8 DM switch for T-SAT. The system will allow all guest suites and living areas to be controlled via the IPad.

T-SAT provides a high-end, customisable monitor matrix system and is powered by Crestron Electronics to control a variety of on-board equipment for superyachts, from radar, sonar, sounder, plotting systems, vessel monitoring systems, CCTV cameras to lights, heating, ventilation, air conditioning and shades, just by a click of a button.

Captain Drew commented about having T-SAT on-board, “We were looking to upgrade our Furuno equipment as it was outdated.  T-SAT provides us with the technology we were looking for, especially now that it is integrated with the NavNet TZT Touch Black Box from Furuno.  The quality of the graphics is now exceptional, and it’s so easy to use as well.  Updating our data will be a piece of cake.  I am looking forward to updating our data….that’s going to be just a breeze.”

James Porreca,  president of Unlimited Marine Services, explained, “To see our hours of computer programing and software configuration come to fruition and see the difference on-board is very rewarding for all of the team at Unlimited Marine Services.  We knew there was a demand for T-SAT, and seeing the difference on how a captain can view his graphics and make decisions faster, will ultimately improve safety on board.  The usage of T-SAT is endless and that’s what makes it so user-friendly and flexible – whatever you want to monitor, view, change, annotate anywhere on the boat….can be done by the touch of a button.”
