Van der Valk commences construction on 26m Raised Pilothouse superyacht

Dutch yard Van der Valk has commenced work on a new hull in its 26-metre (85-foot) Raised Pilothouse range.

Construction work is already well advanced on the yacht, which was commissioned by a European owner who visited the Van der Valk team at Cannes Yachting Festival in 2018.

The hull and superstructure are due for completion imminently with delivery set to take place in mid-2020.

The interior of the yacht will be an amalgamation of the “warm and sophisticated design” of Van der Valk’s Grey Falcon and the “clean, minimalistic appearance” of Nicostasia.

Accommodation on board is for up to eight guests in a four en-suite cabin layout. There are three crew berths and a dinette for eight on the flybridge.

Elsewhere, the outdoor areas will feature a helm station, large tender and an array of sunbeds, with a hydraulic swimming platform.

Power will come from twin MTU 12V 2000 1920hp M96L engines for a top speed of 26 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots – the largest propulsion package on a 26m Raised Pilothouse yet.
