Van Geest Design reveals 130m superyacht concept Project Aura

Dutch design studio Van Geest Design has presented a new 130-metre (427-foot) superyacht concept called Project Aura.

Showcased to the industry ahead of METSTRADE next week, the concept has been influenced by “hand carved sculptures” and features “dominating” exterior lines.

Billed as a “strong” and “spacious” superyacht, Aura has a two-tone hull and superstructure. According to the studio, this creates a “distinctive look introducing contrast, graphic lines in three-dimensional shapes and plays with its volumes”.

Full accommodation details have not yet been disclosed, but it is known that Aura has two owner’s staterooms, one of which is suspended above the transom. There is also a two-deck atrium forward of the “pool playground”.

Extensive entertaining exterior areas are provided for guests to “interact or find a private retreat”.

The GA and propulsion details of Aura have not yet been revealed.
