Yachting Pages celebrates the launch of this year’s new superyacht directories and digibooks with a brand new addition to its sales team: Joseph Lawson-West.
Joe, a Business Management graduate with a speciality in marketing from the University of East Anglia, said, “I began my sales career in the financial sector for a leading UK insurance broker but quickly wanted to break out of the ‘small cog, huge machine’ mentality and so sought a new challenge in a more dynamic industry.
“I took a gamble and joined a magazine start-up as an advertising executive, which I helped grow from a back-room concern to a flourishing market leader, delivering integrated marketing campaigns for a wide variety of clients.”
Joe continued, “I went from selling small ads to local cafés to being a national account manager dealing with household names including the FT, Lush cosmetics, Vision Express and Bayer. It’s this drive and determination that brought me to Yachting Pages and the Superyacht Owners’ Guide.”
Yachting Pages’ marketing executive Kerry O’Neill said, “We’re thrilled to have such a marketing savvy and talented all-rounder on board, with so much media sales expertise.
“With a brand new product to launch onto the superyacht stage – Yachting Pages Refit guide – and the latest Superyacht Owners’ Guide both due out this September, Joe couldn’t have arrived at a better time. He’s already hit the ground running!”
Joe concluded, “I can already see that I’m working with a group of consummate professionals, from whom I plan to learn everything I can about the superyacht industry and marine trade. It’s a fascinating field to work in and I’m already making some in-roads in terms of new business development.”
Yachting Pages is the world’s leading superyacht directory, published in three regional editions and with thousands of listings available to browse in print, digibook and online formats. In the brand new 2013 – 2014 editions, Yachting Pages has increased its number of advertisers by a staggering 19%.
Kerry O’Neill added, “Gone are the days when we were merely the Yellow Pages of the yachting industry. Though that’s still true – and Yachting Pages directories celebrate their tenth birthday this year – the company now offers a plethora of superyacht-relevant products including the Superyacht Owners’ Guide, Yachting Pages Refit, Yachting Pages Delivers and www.yachtingpages.com, the world’s largest superyacht search engine.
Ian Jones, sales manager, said, “Joe is already a credit to his team. He is a very genuine chap who’s a pleasure to deal with, so I’ve every confidence he’ll excel in helping people to build their superyacht businesses, taking their companies to the next level with the world’s widest coverage superyacht media.”
