Yacht Gopher ATOL protected

Yacht Gopher Ltd has announced that on the 1st October 2014 it was awarded an ATOL by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA). This means that the YGo team can now provide low cost, short and long haul flights, as well as flexible marine air fares, to their clients and some will be ATOL protected.

ATOL is a protection scheme for flights and air holidays, managed by the Civil Aviation Authority. All UK companies who sell air travel in the UK are required by law to hold a licence called an Air Travel Organiser’s Licence or “ATOL".

The ATOL scheme protects customers from losing money or being stranded abroad if the company they booked with ceases trading. In the event of an ATOL protected travel company failure, the CAA can give refunds to people who can’t travel and arrange for people abroad to fly home.

However, it is important to note that not all air travel arrangements are ATOL protected.
