In a rapidly changing media world, we were pleased to find great commitment from our clients this year, with an impressive number of orders placed.
Now the totals are in, we can report that advertising sales were once again up on the previous year’s show, with print sales totalling 61% of all orders signed.
Combined bookings for digital advertising on our website Yachtingpages.com and on the new Yachting Pages App came in at 35% of our sales totals, confirming that Yachting Pages’ printed directories are still in demand as part of a targeted marketing mix.
Of course, the show was about more than sales, providing the perfect opportunity for us to get out and about to meet with new and existing clients and crew.
Once again, the marketing team walked the docks to gain valuable feedback on our products and services, and to demo the new Yachting Pages App to captains and senior crew. Launched less than three months ago, it has already exceeded our sales targets and download expectations, which was helped greatly by efforts at the show.
We celebrated in true YP style at the Yachting Pages App Launch Party on the terrace on the Thursday evening, allowing our team the opportunity to share a drink with our Terrace Partners and clients at the famous Stars ‘n’ Bars Terrace. With wonderful support from our wine provider Porto Lotti, and an atmosphere of genuine appreciation amongst all who attended, we couldn’t have asked for a better event.
This year saw us partnering with General Coating GmbH, Seven Seas, Swissvax, Crew Asia, Ocean Quality Systems, Orbis Yacht and Huisman Etech Experts. With the introduction of greater security measures at the show, it was truly rewarding to see everyone stepping up and making a real effort to engage with their clients and customers.
And finally, with prospects of some new and exciting business collaborations generated from the event, we can sign it off as another roaring success.
