Held in May every year, the World Superyacht Awards honour the finest new superyachts delivered to their owners during the previous twelve months. Last year, YPI Charter yacht Mary-Jean II won the hotly contested category of ‘Best Displacement Motor Yacht of 500GT to 1,299GT’ and this year two YPI yachts – Bilgin’s 45m Tatiana and ISA’s new 50m Liberty have been voted finalists at the event taking place on 5th May at the luxurious Çırağan Palace Kempinski in the magical city of Istanbul, Turkey.
“It is great to see that Tatiana has been voted into the finals”, says her YPI broker Gregory Gheraia. “She was the first of three yachts we decided to represent for sale that were buildt by the Turkish family yard, Bilgin. They are superb builders and Tatiana is a fantastic example of clever design that offers so much more than you would expect from this type of yacht. We knew the quality of this yacht from the start – not it seems we are not alone.”
The 50m ISA built Liberty is brand new to the YPI fleet, joining the Group exclusively for charter and making her charter debut this summer in the Mediterranean.
“We are very careful about the yachts we choose to represent for charter,” says Head of YPI Charter, Fiona Maureso. “Liberty is quite simply stunning. All I can say is that we won last year with Mary-Jean II, not let’s see what we can do with another amazing ISA build.”
