Zeelander Yachts delivers debut flagship Z72

Dutch shipyard Zeelander Yachts has delivered the first 22-metre (72-foot) hull in its flagship range, the Z72.

The Z72 has been delivered to her American owners, and has been named Dylan Lucy.

Zeelander’s in-house design team created the exterior of the yacht in collaboration with Cor D. Rover. “Whilst keeping true to iconic shape, the Zeelander design has evolved,” commented Sietse Koopmans, founder of Zeelander Yachts.

Inspired by Porsche, the yacht’s exterior presents an “S-shaped deck line, a wider stern and even more curved surfaces”.

In order to fulfil the wishes of the yacht’s owner who “loves a good party”, the Z72 can accommodate up to six guests across three cabins, comprising of a master suite and two double guest rooms. The crew quarters are located on the lower deck, alongside the tender garage.

The Z72 meets her owners’ requirements, being a comfortable, luxurious and family-friendly yacht. She features a sophisticated décor, consisting of huge panoramic windows and vast social areas.

Koopman stated, “The Z72 has extra party lights and the biggest JL sound system on all spaces on the boat. Helm, kitchen, aft deck, front deck all the rooms and even the swimming platform.”

The sporty yacht is powered by triple Volvo Penta IPS engines for a top speed of 40 knots. The Z72 will have a range of 680 nautical miles at 24 knots.
