Yacht toy supplier EAMS Yacht Tender Center once again joined forces with Yachting Pages, along with a group of captains, engineers and senior crew, to pit some of the most popular water toys of 2022 against one another. Each toy has been scored on a range of useful real-world metrics that we have averaged out to crown an overall winner! Along the way we also highlight the top performing toys in each metric.
In alphabetical order, here are the results of this year’s Tried & Tested water toys.
The Awake board is an exhilarating electric surfboard for those wanting an adrenaline-inducing on-water experience. With a range of sizes available in the board, mast and wing, the hydrofoil board is suitable for beginners and pros. The hand-held Bluetooth controller makes it easy to operate, allowing the user to control the speeds effortlessly.
Another exhilarating foil board, the eFoil Fliteboard is a versatile water toy suitable for all skill levels and conditions. The board is equipped with a Bluetooth hand-held controller whereby users can accelerate and alter speed by selecting higher and lower gears. The quiet motor is the smallest diameter on the market allowing for greater hydrodynamic efficiency.
The Electric JETSURF certainly scores highly on fun factor. This high-speed electric surfboard is capable of reaching 55km/h (34.2mph). The foot bindings make the ride even more comfortable and stable, and the hand-held controller allows for easy turning and speed control. The battery-powered board is also perfectly silent and 100% emission-free, meaning you can ride wherever you like without harming the environment.
The Sea-Doo FISHPRO TROHPY is perfect for a day out fishing. The on-board LinQ cooler has an integrated pump that keeps fresh water in the tank, keeping your catch or bait alive all day. The Bluetooth and smartphone app integration provides music, weather, navigation, and more, ensuring a fun, yet practical, day out.
If you’re after an adrenaline rush, the Sea-Doo RXT 300 is for you. It’s the most powerful engine on a Sea-Doo personal watercraft with a thrilling 217kW (300hp) and 96km/h (60mph) just a few seconds away. The Sea-Doo RXT 300 also features the industry's first fully integrated waterproof audio system. The Bluetooth connectivity means you can listen to your favourite song whilst cruising on the water.
When it comes to rescuing, every second counts. This self-propelled, remotely controllable system is designed to reach someone in distress at sea quickly and efficiently. It’s much faster than a human trying to swim to someone and more accurate than throwing a life buoy. The captains and crew loved all of our water toy finalists this year, but we are pleased to announce that the winner of the Tried & Tested: Best Water Toys for 2022 is the Sea-Doo RXT 300! This extremely impressive Jet Ski wowed our testers for its fun factor and overall build quality. Even our youngest tester of just twelve years old said this was by far the most fun toy of them all!
