Dutch yacht builder, AMELS has announced the launch of its largest superyacht to date, 83m Here comes the sun.
Launched at AMELS’ yard in Vlissingen, Here comes the sun is the flagship of its Limited Editions range, and according to a statement from AMELS, she is currently on schedule ready to be delivered at the end of the year.
Owners’ representative and project manager Yavor Nenov commented, “I knew she would be stunning”, as the superyacht emerged from AMELS’ 215m dry dock. He continued, “She’s very impressive and I think she’s a credit to the yard and the hundreds of craftsmen working on her.”
Her exterior is completed by Tim Heywood, with interiors completed by Winch Design. According to AMELS, she features a “graceful and feminine profile”, with long deck spaces which “disguise a large volume for her length, with a gross tonnage of 2,827 over six decks.
Rob Luijendijk, managing director at AMELS also commented, “Here comes the sun is a wonderful example of owners stepping up to larger yachts within the AMELS Limited Editions range. Our approach gives owners a great head start as well as the flexibility for customisation at the highest level. It also proves our large yacht building expertise – absolute top quality and smooth production.”
