Andrew Davies is appointed as sales director for Halyard

Halyard, the company that designs and manufactures specialist marine exhaust systems for vessels ranging from luxury superyachts to commercial craft working in some of the world’s toughest environments, has appointed Andrew Davies as sales director to manage its UK and international sales. 

Andrew joins Halyard with a strong and successful background in marine sales, having previously worked for six years at Raymarine UK Limited as UK and Ireland sales manager.  Prior to joining Raymarine, Andrew was sales manager, before becoming a divisional general manager at Phoenix Mecano Ltd, a global manufacturer of industrial components.

In his role at Halyard, Andrew will be responsible for heading up Halyard’s sales team, working directly with production boat builders worldwide, as well as individual designers and managers of custom-built superyachts. Halyard’s technology is also used in workboats, ferries, and military vessels. Andrew will work with Halyard’s team of international distributors supporting sales to these diverse markets.

Richard Summers, managing director of Halyard said, “We are delighted that Andrew has joined Halyard.  His skills will help develop new markets for Halyard, and with his technical expertise and background he will help fulfill the complex role between sales, design and engineering. Andrew will also be pivotal in developing and growing our internationally-based distributors, supporting them in their home markets.”

Based at Halyard’s head office in Salisbury, Andrew’s role will include extensive travel worldwide to visit customers, boat yards and key marine industry events, and he will be heading up Halyard’s international presence at key boat shows including PSP Southampton Boat Show, Monaco Yacht Show, Fort Lauderdale International and SMM in Hamburg.
