Astilleros de Mallorca has announced that it has un-stepped the world’s tallest aluminium mast aboard the Perini Navi sailing yacht Bayesian.
Measuring in at 75m tall, this is the third time that the 56m Perini Navi has chosen Astilleros de Mallorca to perform and coordinate its refit and class survey work, according to the shipyard.
On this visit, the sailing yacht called in for her eight-year survey, as well as a general overhaul, maintenance and paint work.
She had her 75m-aluminium mast pulled, prepped and completed by the Astilleros technical team and RSB Solutions, which will be reassembled on board in four month’s time ready for the autumn sailing season.
Astilleros de Mallorca shared a video on its YouTube channel, and commented, “This week has seen a lot of action for Astilleros de Mallorca, with the un -stepping of the world’s tallest aluminium mast (75m) from the magnificent Perini Navi S/Y Bayesian for its eight-year survey and paint work.
“It was completed with military precision between our technical team and RSB Solutions. This work is part of several projects taking place on board while here in Mallorca.”
