Burgess Yachts has announced the 60m Abeking & Rasmussen-built motor yacht, Elandess has been offered for sale for the first time.
Due to be exhibited at next month’s Palm Beach International Boat Show, Elandess was originally delivered in 2009 and, according to Burgess, has been “meticulously maintained by her original owner since build and never offered for charter.” She has also recently had her midnight blue hull repainted ahead of being listed for sale.
Elandess’ exterior and interior are the product of a collaboration between Donald Starkey Design and Bannenberg & Rowell Design. Her interior, the work of Bannenberg & Rowell, is said to be a “fusion of functionality and edgy contemporary design, combining innovative textures with striking artefacts and bold splashes of colour, to create a highly original and supremely comfortable living environment.”
Standout features of her interior include a full-size cocktail bar and expansive sky lounge. With room for up to 12 guests across her six cabins, her master-suite is based on an Art Deco-inspired design and features a walk-in dressing room, private study and central spa bath. There is also a secluded private deck forward of the suite. Four guest cabins are then positioned on the lower deck, and a multi-purpose cabin on the bridge deck.
Her exterior styling was completed by Donald Starkey Design, and includes spacious deck areas designed for al fresco dining. There is a large tender garage at the stern, housing a range of water toys and two custom tenders which can be launched quickly via the Abeking & Rasmussen-designed launching system.
Described by Burgess as a “pedigree performer”, Elandess is powered by twin Caterpillar 2,000hp main engines and is able to deliver a top speed of 16 knots and cruising speed of 13 knots. She also features Quantum XT stabilisers on-board.
Having previously won the award for Best Power 40-65m at the International Superyacht Society Awards, Elandess has also been a finalist in several categories at the ShowBoat Design Awards and the World Superyacht Awards in previous years.
