Yachting Pages has put several of the leading safety cases (and other associated products) to the test. The objective: to ascertain how each product performs and determine which one is best equipped to safely contain a lithium battery-induced fire.
Finnish yard Baltic Yachts has expanded its motor yacht line with a new concept called the Baltic 135. Created in collaboration with British studio Design Unlimited, the 41m tri-deck motor yacht would be built to Lloyd’s Registry standards.
Accommodation is for up to ten guests split between five cabins including an owner’s cabin on the main deck. The lower deck can be arranged as four cabins for eight guests or as two large VIPs, restricting the capacity to six guests. The crew quarters allow for a staff of up to eight people.
On the main deck, the shaded cockpit leads into an open-plan saloon with a separate dining area. Exterior relaxation options include the superyacht sundeck, which would be fitted with entertainment and lounging areas.
The 135’s stern houses the tender storage, with room for a pair of Jet Skis as well as the main tender. Engine installations and expected performance figures are yet to be disclosed.
Professor Hans Georg Näder, owner of Baltic Yachts, commented, “The Baltic Yachts name conveys quality, prestige and performance, and Baltic Motor Yachts extends this experience and reputation into a new area of yachting.
“We are leaders, not followers,” he said.
