Baltic Yachts successfully install CMS Marine’s SonicShield Ultrasonic Antifouling system

After the successful installation of a SonicShield Ultrasonic Antifouling system on Baltic Yachts 107 – ‘Inukshuk’, the team at Baltic have again selected the SonicShield by CMS Marine to provide the Antifouling solution on their next custom build - a Baltic 116 due for launch in early 2014.

Baltic 116 Custom is a real "blue water cruising yacht" and it is intended for worldwide cruising and being independent from lying in harbours or berthing in marinas, but special attention was also given to the performance concept.

The yacht is timeless and elegant looking with a wraparound-window deckhouse and an integrated fixed bimini. The final styling of the exterior was completed in partnership with Nauta Design.

Baltic Yachts caught up with Sam Crawford from CMS Marine who said, "It is fantastic news that a company like Baltic Yachts of Finland have recognised us as being the preferred supplier of Ultrasonic Antifouling to their custom fleet, we worked closely with Baltic on ‘Inukshuk’ and look forward to working with them again on the 116 - Custom".

A SonicShield VI was supplied to Baltic by CMS; this is part of their custom range of products. The number of transducers required is based on the boats under water hull size, a product can be found to suit every size of boat from tenders to superyachts.
