Bilgin nears completion on largest Turkish yacht to date

Bilgin is nearing completion on its 263 flagship yacht, which was launched yesterday from the yard’s metal works facility in Yalova. Measuring in at 80 metres, she will be the largest yacht to be built in Turkey to date upon her delivery.

The 263 features a spacious interior volume for her streamlined shape, with naval architecture by Unique Yacht Design and interior styling by H2 Design Studio. Notable features on board include an indoor pool set within a vast beach club spa area.

Her hull has been optimised and tank tested for optimum fuel efficiency, with her two MTU 16V 4000 M63R engines giving her an impressive range of 5,000 nautical miles and a top speed of 18 knots at half-load displacement.

Ismail Şengün, CEO at Bilgin said, “Today is another proud day for our company. We are happy to see how beautiful the boat is and really look forward to presenting her to the world in a couple of years.”

After her launch, the 263’s hull and superstructure have been moved to the superyacht hangar at Bilgin’s outfitting facilities at Istanbul West Marina. She is scheduled for delivery by the end of 2019.

Also undergoing construction at Bilgin is the second hull of its 156 series, which measures in at 48 metres, and the second hull of the 263 series, which is following approximately six months behind. She follows Nerissa, the first 156 of the series.
