Yachting Pages has put several of the leading safety cases (and other associated products) to the test. The objective: to ascertain how each product performs and determine which one is best equipped to safely contain a lithium battery-induced fire.
Stage four sponsored by: Baglietto
Kilometers ridden: 144km
Kilometers to go: 230km
The forth day of the superyacht charity cycle ride, Cogs4Cancer, saw the seventeen cyclists, including Yachting Pages’ MD Steve Crowe, ride from La Spezia to Aranzano.
The forth stage, sponsored by shipyard Baglietto, took the cyclists on a challenging route for 144km, through Genoa, before finishing at 5,00pm in Aranzano.
Steve Crowe, managing director of Yachting Pages commented, “During the morning, we climbed to 600m above sea level into mist and clouds before freewheeling to our lunchtime stop, prepared by the ‘Pink Ladies’ of Gourmet Deliveries. Traditional Italian pizzas, salad and coffee hit the spot after four hours of riding and one very big hill!”
The team reached the historic city of Genoa at 3.00pm and cycled past Cogs 4 Cancer sponsor Amico’s 30,000 m2 of docking and yard area.
The stage four finish line of the Grand Hotel in Arenzano marks the 620km point of the Cogs for Cancer six-day charity cycle.
Currently at €182,894 of their €200,000 target, the riders have just 230km to cover over the next two days.
