Ferretti Group launches first Riva 110 Dolcevita yacht

Ferretti Group has confirmed the first model in its new Riva 110 Dolcevita series has been launched.

The 33-metre (108-foot) flybridge, manufactured and launched in La Spezia, has been described by the Italian yard as “reminiscent of the unforgettable Anita Ekberg bathing in the waters of Trevi Fountain.”

The all-GRP superyacht features styling by long-term collaborator Officina Italiana Design, including chrome inserts and extensive glazing that surrounds the main deck owner’s cabin and raised pilothouse.

A focus on al fresco living is evident throughout the Riva 110 Dolcevita, from the foredeck seating area, complete with spa pool, to the aft sunlounging area on the upper deck.

She has been fitted with Ferretti’s unique submersible transom, which allows for quick tender launches as well as direct access to the sea. The system features a garage door that can fold down to create a bathing platform before lowering into the water when needed.

The Italian yard says the tender garage is large enough to house a 5.7-metre Williams Dieseljet RIB, as well as a Jet Ski.

The main-deck cockpit leads into the saloon, which has been described as a “luxury loft” due to its floor-to-ceiling windows and ability to open up to the elements on three sides.

Alberto Galassi, chief executive officer of the Ferretti Group, commented, “Cruising on this amazing 33-metre yacht is an aesthetic and emotional experience akin to the amazement felt by anyone watching the passing of Rex, the famous cruise ship featured in the film Amarcord, another of Federico Fellini's masterpieces.

“This new seaworthy work of art is not just a gift to our brand’s fans, but to all dreamers who can thus rediscover the splendour and thrills of a new Dolce Vita.”

Accommodation is for up to ten guests split between a main deck master suite and four VIP cabins below deck, while the crew quarters can host up to five people.

Power comes from a pair of 2,601hp MTU 16V 2000 M94 engines that give the Riva 110 Dolcevita a top speed of 26 knots and a fast cruising speed of 23 knots.

Other Riva projects currently in development include the 28.6-metre Riva 90 yacht, which is expected to launch before the end of the year.
