Benetti has launched the first hull in the new Delfino 95 series and christened it Christella II.
Designed by Giorgio Cassetta, the 28.96-metre (95-foot) yacht has been built for an owner based in central Europe, while Petra Karaskova of Creativa Design produced the modern interior dècor.
The official launch took place at the end of November at the Italian yard’s Viareggio facility, where it was revealed that it expects the series to be as successful as the previous Delfino 93 series, which has sold 14 hulls to date. The yard hopes its decision to allow living spaces to flow into one another and the use of quality materials such as Canaletto walnut woodwork, printed leather panelling and Eramosa marble will help it achieve said levels of success.
Accommodation is for up to 10 guests split between five cabins, including a full-beam master suite on the main deck, while the crew quarters allow for up to four members of staff.
Among the key features of the raised pilothouse yacht are a 4.4m (14.4ft) transom tender garage, two spacious aft decks and a foredeck spa pool.
She is powered by a pair of 1,000hp MAN V8 engines for a top speed of 13.5 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots. At the more economical speed of 10 knots, Christella II boasts a range of 1,950nm, thanks to a total fuel capacity of 20,000 litres.
Other projects currently under development at Benetti include the Mediterraneo 116 series, with the fourth hull expected to launch during 2019.
