Preparations for the long trip are in full swing. Fischer Panda GmbH is glad that the sailing4handicaps association has chosen a Panda 10000i PMS generator for the power supply on board its sailing catamaran. With the recent installation of the generator and the joint press event at the Ancora Marina in Neustadt, the partnership has been officially sealed.
On their voyage around the world the athletes Wojtek Czyz and Elena Brambilla will stop at various ports and work with and support amputees showing them how to build, use and maintain prostheses.
The power supply on board will be provided by a 10000i Panda PMS generator. Thanks to its environmentally conscious inverter technology, the speed of the generator can be controlled depending on the devices in use thus allowing for a reduction of exhaust emissions and fuel consumption. The noise level is very low thanks to the super-silent sound insulation.
The water-cooled generator has a nominal output of 8 kW.
Due to the extremely compact size of the generator minimal space was needed during the installation on board.
Jens Langer, Sales/Marketing/Projects Manager at Fischer Panda GmbH, said “Continuous and reliable power supply is essential for this project especially when no shore power is available. We are very pleased that sailing4handicaps has chosen Fischer Panda GmbH to support their charity project. We are already looking forward to the trip reports of the crew. We wish Wojtek Czyz and Elena Brambilla a safe trip and lots of success”.
