The Daily Mail has revealed the owner of the new-build 35.2m Sunseeker 116 superyacht as Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, founder and CEO of travel retail giant King Power International Group, and owner of Leicester City FC.
The Thai billionaire has reportedly spent £11m on the vessel, which is currently docked at Poole Harbour in Dorset, England ahead of its delivery.
Powered by two diesel engines and with a range of 1,250 nautical miles, the yacht features a largely contemporary design with a spacious main living area. The model can accommodate a hot tub if the buyer wishes, though it is not known if Mr. Srivaddhanaprabha has decided to install one.
10 guests are accommodated across five cabins, and there is also accommodation for five crew. It has a top speed of 26 knots. It is believed the yacht’s homeport will be George Town, Malaysia.
Mr Srivaddhanaprabha is Thailand's seventh richest man according to Forbes, and reportedly purchased each of his 19 football players BMW i8s upon Leicester City’s landmark Premier League victory in 2016.
