Julie Sebastien of Flower World Ltd, a leading florist based in St. Johns, Antigua, recently completed a floral design seminar entitled Wedding Professional, hosted by Teleflora at its state-of-the-art educational centre in Oklahoma City, USA.
Floral designers from all over North America and the Caribbean attended the seminar to learn the latest trends and techniques for brides, attendants, and flowers to wear.
Taught by successful retail florist, Joyce Mason-Moniheim, AIFD PFCI of Tucson Arizona, the class focused on creating coordinated designs to make beautiful wedding memories. Students were challenged to complete a series of projects and to create a variety of designs for brides to carry and flowers to wear.
Marie Ackerman, AIFD, Teleflora vice president of Education commented, ““Wedding flowers have always been about fashion and style. It’s very important that every floral artist keep current with new mechanics and techniques to make a bride’s dream come true”.
Sebastien received a certificate of completion as a wedding professional, from the Teleflora Education Centre, now in its 30th year of providing advanced floral education.
Flower World is an official partner of the Antigua Charter Yacht Show, and has been providing floral designs to sailing yachts, motor yachts and superyachts which visit Antigua each year.
