Lürssen launches 74m superyacht Aurora

Lürssen has announced the launch of 74m Aurora.

Now the smallest yacht to have been launched by Lürssen since 2014’s 65m Elysian, Aurora will still rank among the world’s 200 largest superyachts.

Aurora is due to be delivered this summer, having been sold back in early 2014 and project managed by Moran Yacht & Ship. Few details have been released since then regarding her construction, and her launch has also been shrouded in secrecy.

In a statement, Lürssen said, "Aurora has been built to meet all of the owner's requirements, creating a very private yacht with individual needs to the highest technical standard, combined with many practical and useful features." 

With six decks, she features interior and exterior design by renowned British design brand Winch Design, and according to reports, she features a 13.2m beam and large interior volume, along with a 3.2m draught.

Aurora features large exterior spaces including an observation deck above her wheelhouse, large foredeck and three aft decks.

She joins a number of other superyachts due to be completed in 2017; these include 123m Project Jupiter and 135m Project Thunder.
