Brazilian shipyard, MCP Yachts has launched a new dedicated sailing yachts division, under which they have announced that they will build a range of new fast aluminium sailing yachts.
The first project of MCP’s series will be Silver Bullet, a 30.48-metre performance cruiser, developed together with A. Bottino Design and Engineering. The first plates for the vessel will be cut in January 2016.
The Silver Bullet concept features a semi-raised saloon that offers a spacious interior upon entry to the vessel. A clean and flush deck has been designed to keep maneuverability and control easy, and, with her self-tacking jib, she will be run by a minimal crew. She has a sliding hard top roof to give shelter to the main cockpit social area, while still offering great views out from the helm, placed aft.
Aft of the helm station, there is a foldable terrace that opens outward as a swim platform. This area can either be enjoyed as a sunbathing platform under its own bimini, or as Jet Ski storage while under way. Loading Jet Skis without hardware, the platform submerges to load the craft. The main tender is then stored and, once launched by use of the gennaker halyard, this area can then be filled with water to be used as a swimming pool.
