METSTRADE launches new 'Shipyard' networking hub at the SuperYacht Pavilion

The organisers of the SuperYacht Pavilion at this year’s METSTRADE Show have announced plans for a significant expansion. A new networking area called the ‘Shipyard’ will facilitate connections between yards, suppliers and other businesses.

The new networking hub will be accessible together with METSTRADE from 13th to 15th November. The increasingly growing global superyacht industry sees event organisers committed to ensuring that the SuperYacht Pavilion – the annual B2B meeting place in Amsterdam – continues to meet its very specific demands.

Irene Dros, RAI Amsterdam’s director maritime, commented, “The waiting list of highly qualified exhibitors for the SuperYacht Pavilion at METSTRADE 2018 was larger than ever.

“Our decision to expand was made because we recognise how much the extra companies will contribute to the pavilion programme in terms of innovation. We have also responded to increasing requests from the industry for more networking space in general, and for places where custom yards can host meetings in privacy.”

The new third hall will adhere to the renowned stylistic features of the SuperYacht Pavilion. The new extended area will include a number of key stands around the Shipyard, which is set to become a key meeting point for those seeking networking opportunities.

Private project meeting rooms will also be available for hire by custom superyacht builders. To ensure privacy, these rooms will have a strict entrance policy, which follows a pre-selected guest list for those related to the projects.

As a result of the expansion, the SuperYacht Pavilion at METSTRADE 2018 will feature a record number of 314 exhibitors. 43 of these exhibitors will be participating in the event for the first time. Including German fibre-composite specialists Fassmer, Dutch metal construction company Tec Wire and electrical experts from Vimar.

METSTRADE is set to take place at RAI Amsterdam, and will run from 13th to 15th November.
