Mondomarine has launched its latest vessel, a 49m all-aluminium semi-displacement superyacht named Ipanema.
Officially launched last week, Ipanema is a striking shade of bright red, and features interior and exterior styling by Milan studio, Hot Lab Yacht & Design, with hydrodynamic and technical design completed by Mondomarine.
In a statement, Mondomarine commented, “The innovative look of this project follows Mondomarine’s traditional styling and heritage adding innovative design solutions that give a flowing and appealing line, enriched by the magnificent colour combinations attributed to the owner’s exquisite taste.”
According to Mondomarine, Ipanema’s most eye-catching feature is the steep rake of her stern, “generating a forward visual thrust for the superstructure”. She features full-height windows which run along the length of the main deck, creating “exciting, light-filled interior spaces”.
On board, there is a fold-down beach area, said to be uniquely large for the size of Ipanema. The interior design draws inspiration from Italian, English and French manufacturing traditions, featuring columns, pilasters and carved lintels.
There are also 37 different motifs to decorate five cabins, which accommodate twelve guests, as well as the two lounges and other public and private areas. The design of the cabins feature over a dozen different types of marble, as well as onyx, mahogany and briar, which Mondomarine says creates a “decorative richness and precious and rare colour impact.”
