There are just three weeks to go until the Australian Superyacht and Marine Export Conference (22-23 May). The seminar will be held at Sanctuary Cove, a luxury resort in the Gold Coast area of Queensland, Australia.
It will take place immediately prior to the Sanctuary Boat Show (May 24th to 27th).
According to its organisers: “ASMEX is the only Australian marine export and superyacht conference and will ensure you get real insight into market trends, opportunities, challenges and changes in the market that will assist in managing your business.”
The event has invited a number of high-profile superyacht industry delegates from Europe, Florida, South Africa, UAE, US, NZ, Singapore, Taiwan, Turkey and Brazil, as well as Australia, to deliver talks on a diverse range of topics.
Keynote speakers include Thom Dammrich, President of National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA). Dammrich will deliver a talk on the “current state of the USA market; both superyachts and recreational, predictions for the future and what NMMA are doing in the USA to create demand in this downturn.”
Economic advice will be provided by Darryl Conroy, Financial Market Analyst for Suncorp Bank, in his talk entitled “Australian economic overview and predictions for the future.” John Henson of John Henson and Associates will also be present to answer questions about the challenges of doing business in China.
They are among a number of guests scheduled to appear at the conference. ASMEX has also invited two industry experts along to answer questions about business opportunities in Turkey or the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Ozgur Tuna, the Business Development Manager for Austrade, which assists Australian businesses in foreign trade and investment, and Erwin Bamps, a Chief Operating Officer for Gulf Craft, will each give presentations.
